Georgia EMS Association announces Heavy Rescue - Provider Level Course

February 9 & 10th, 2019

16 Hours of Hands-On Training
8 Hours of Online Training



Hands-On training is conducted on site in Covington, GA. Classroom modules are covered in an online video format that must be completed before the first day of the hands-on training. Participants will receive a email with directions for accessing the information after registration is complete

Online Component - Pre-Class (Required to complete prior to Class)

Hands-On Component - February 9th & 10th - Covington, GA

During these two full days of hands on, participants will work with large vehicles such as tractor trailers, cement & dump trucks, and passenger cars in advanced scenarios. Heavy lifting and other technician level skills will be practiced. During this segment of the training, participants will use the latest in hydraulic tools, stabilization equipment, and hand tools. Lifting with Hydra fusions, and airbags is covered in great detail. Additionally chasing with air struts and manual struts is also covered.  These techniques will be taught with emphasis on maintaining patient care & safety.

Departments/Agencies with only airbags and cribbing in their cache will also benefit from the airbag and cribbing section of this program.
