2024 GEMSA Leadership Program online application

Submission Deadline: January 31, 2024 at 5 pm

Below are the elements of application for this course. Please make sure you have these documents saved electronically and ready to upload with your application.  To be considered, your application MUST contain the following documents:

1. Minimum Qualifications – A, B or C

Documentation stating that you are:

  • A - EMS Director or
  • B - Deputy Director (requires endorsement from Director) or
  • C – Supervisory/Management level primary job responsibility (requires endorsement from Director/ Supervisor)

2. Letter of Endorsement – A, B, or C

a letter of endorsement from one of the following depending on your service type:

  • A - Commission Chair or County Manager/Administrator, if county-based; or
  • B - CEO, if hospital-based; or
  • C - Corporate CEO, if private

3. Student Information - including current job duties or job description

4. Student Essay - Please write a Statement of Interest, not to exceed one page. This essay should detail why you are seeking leadership training. 

5. Student Commitment Verification & 6. Supervisor acknowledgement of Leadership participation

The application form will allow you to upload jpg, doc, pdf and other types of files.

The mission of the Georgia Emergency Medical Services Association is to advocate for the emergency medical provider, develop educational programs, liaison activities, provider benefit programs, and improvements to the Emergency Medical Service System in Georgia.
