GEMSA Trauma Courses ApplicationS DuE AUGUST 25, 2022

The Georgia EMS Association is accepting applications for the Trauma Course Grant.  Classes are to be conducted between September 1, 2022 and March 15, 2023.  We are partnering with the Georgia Trauma Commission to provide these grants.

The purpose of this is to provide lead instructors with the information necessary to seek approval through GEMSA for the use of these funds.

The courses available for this funding include: Pre-Hospital Trauma Life Support, International Trauma Life Support, Geriatric Education for EMS, and Emergency Pediatric Care programs at a maximum of $5,850.00 per course.

These funds are provided to ensure participants can attend these programs at no charge.  Our goal is to reach ‘statewide’ and make this training accessible to as many providers as possible.  The class must be an ‘open’ registration course and not limited to a specific set group.  This is a competitive Grant.

If you have any questions please contact Cathy White, GEMSA Program Coordinator at

These programs are made possible by State of Georgia funding provided through the Georgia Trauma Care Network Commission.

The mission of the Georgia Emergency Medical Services Association is to advocate for the emergency medical provider, develop educational programs, liaison activities, provider benefit programs, and improvements to the Emergency Medical Service System in Georgia.
