Cars and needs for Extrication setups
- (1) As New a car as possible to use for vehicle anatomy and modern techniques demonstration. Prefer at least a few air bags intact to use for demonstrations. With wheels and engine intact.
-
Minimum of (25) passenger vehicles, variety of vehicles is fine, prefer at least half or more be 4 door vehicles to maximize tool time. Class is much better if they still have wheels and hoods on them. Damaged vehicles are fine, we will be damaging vehicles for class.
- 1 larger vehicle ie delivery truck, bus, F-550 or larger to use for under ride and override scenarios.
- 4 K rails or concrete dividers to use as obstructions
- Couple heavy objects ie poles, concrete slabs, beams etc to lift off of cars.
-
Many things can be substituted depending on availability.
- Loader or large skid steer for setting up scenarios. We can rent one if local yard doesn’t have one, we can use.
- We have vendors bringing in equipment for class in addition to what we have. If you have a tool or piece of equipment you would like to see let me know and we will try to get it there if possible.
- If you have any tools or equipment you would like us to use to train your people, we would be happy to incorporate it into as many scenarios as possible.
- Extinguishers or fire suppression apparatus for standby in case of emergencies.
