Features for 2024

1) PARTNERSHIP WITH GEORGIA EMERGENCY NURSES ASSOCIATION (ENA)

Again this year, GEMSA is partnering with Georgia ENA to provide continuing education for nurses throughout the conference. Nursing hours will be available throughout the regular conference days, and new this year, ENA is offering a special nursing track on Wednesday, October 16 for nurses and EMS professionals to attend. There will be limited space in these sessions. Nurses can register for the entire conference or a single day on Wednesday to attend the nursing track. We look forward to joining forces and providing quality education for healthcare professionals, and we hope you will join us in welcoming the nurses to our conference. The nursing track sessions are still in development and will be updated in this brochure as information is available.

This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved by the Emergency Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

2) MEMBERSHIP OFFERS MORE DISCOUNTS ON REGISTRATION

We have now implemented discounted member pricing on pre-conference sessions, single days, and the regular conference. A membership is only $25 per year and will save you $50-100 off registration for just one event! Attend other events and save even more! Plus, you get the first option to sign up for FREE grant-funded training across the state hosted by GEMSA.

Join online at georgiaemsassociation.com/join. It only takes a few minutes. Then you can go register for the conference and take advantage of membership benefits and pricing right away.

This is just one of many benefits you will enjoy as part of the Georgia EMS Association. See additional benefits at georgiaemsassociation.com/benefits.

3) NO VIRTUAL OPTION

THIS CONFERENCE WILL NOT BE OFFERED VIRTUALLY THIS FALL. THE ONLY OPTION TO ATTEND THE CONFERENCE IS IN-PERSON. We encourage everyone to join us on Jekyll Island for some time away to relax and recharge, while you attend educational sessions for continuing education hours, learn about the latest and greatest products and services in EMS, and network with new and old friends. Our pre-cons offer hands-on and interactive sessions while the regular conference days offer general sessions, and tracks for instructors, providers, and nurses.

The regular conference days are Tuesday-Thursday, so feel free to come down the weekend before or stay a few days after to enjoy all the island has to offer. Most hotel block rates are valid before and after our conference dates.

4) SILENT AUCTION - DONATIONS ACCEPTED

Once again this year, GEMSA will be having a silent auction during the conference. We will preview items online before the event, but you must be present at the conference to bid. Past items have included: hotel stays, Jekyll Island gifts, Georgia Bulldogs decorations and clocks, gift baskets, yeti coolers, and much more. You can get involved by bidding or donating! If you would like to donate an item, please contact Cathy White - program@georgiaemsassociation.com.
